How to Play Runic Game

Game Overview

• The game consists of a prompt at the top and a puzzle board below.
• Your goal is to match a specific target row on the puzzle board to the prompt.

Scoring

• Your score is based on time and turns used to solve each puzzle.
• Each level has a maximum turn count and time limit.
• Unused turns are added to the next level as complexity increases.
• Exceeding time or turn limits allows you to continue, but with a maximum score penalty.

Gameplay Mechanics

1. Target Row
   • In easier levels, a red pointer indicates the target row.
   • Advanced levels require you to identify the target row yourself.
2. Moving Tiles
   • Swap tiles with their nearest neighbors (left, right, top, or bottom).
   • Each swap triggers a mathematical calculation.
3. Tile Colors and Operations
   • White tiles: Addition (A + B)
   • Purple tiles: Multiplication (A * B)
   • Tan tiles: Subtraction |A - B|
   • Orange tiles: Exponentiation |A² - B²|
   • The color of the dragged tile determines the operation.
4. Swap Mechanics
   • Results are typically two-digit numbers.
   • The ones digit replaces the swapped card.
   • The tens digit replaces the dragged card.
   • Example: Swapping 6 and 3
     • 6 => 3 results in 6 = 0, 3 = 9
     • 3 => 6 results in 6 = 9, 3 = 0
5. Feedback on Correct Placements
   • Yellow: Correct value, incorrect position
   • Green: Correct value and position
